Isn't it odd that the Democrats are the ones opposing this? After all, they are supposed to be representing the little guy, fighting to beat back the evil Republicans and all their rich friends.
Of course the Dems don't want to audit the Fed, they are as guilty as the Republicans when it comes to monetary policy. This fight is the Establishment versus Americans, not party affiliation. We want our Government to be more accountable to us, We The People. If only more Democrats would wake up and realize that in many respects neither party is doing their job looking out for the little guy.
And that is what needs to change. While this bill is going nowhere in the Senate, we may see a different result next year if Republicans can gain the seats needed to establish a majority and Romney wins the White House.
There may only be a handful of true conservatives in DC fighting for us, but it might be enough to make some progress. After all, look what the most radical wing of the Democratic Party has accomplished. All we need are the right leaders, the others will follow.
