This just in – for the first time in my recent memory something happened that didn’t make me want to stab an ice pick into my brain. Something happened that gives me hope, something that is the opposite of “madness”, something sane.
We have witnessed history this week and it may be awhile before we understand the full impact. At worst, all parties involved will cave to the violent and angry reaction from the organized radicals on the left and the bill will be overturned. At the very best, this is just the beginning of conservative America re-asserting its rightful position in our country and culture.
I am hopeful of the latter and urge each and every American that supports this new law to do everything in their power to support the state of Arizona. Send emails to the Governor urging her to stand tall and not back down, she needs to hear from all of us so that she can be confident that she is doing the right thing, that we are with her and she has our support. Believe me when I say the shrill voices on the left are going to be loud and they are not going to go away. She seems steadfast and determined, but is only beginning to see and feel the backlash from the left that goes all the way up to the office of the President. If that is all she hears she may cave in to the pressure. Further, email Arizona companies that are being threatened with boycotts, buy their products; let them know that there are more of us than them.
Let’s imagine for a minute that other states step forward and undertake similar action. There is already word out today from Texas that they may follow their lead. The only way this begins to make inroads is if there is more action to build on, Arizona cannot be the lone voice among the overwhelming pressure and influence of the left. As others get on board and do not cave in, not a single inch, it will create a momentum that will pave the way for other such conservative based reforms.
We cannot seek compromise. Look what the last 100 years of compromising with Democrats has gotten us. A compromise for them is just taking one step down their path to Socialism instead of two. The issue never goes away and the second step is not far behind. It has been a slow and steady dose of “liberal incrementalism”, the act of settling for a long term, methodical process of cultural evolution toward liberal/progressive ideals. That is the path of the last 100 years. So, no more compromise, no more bi-partisanship. If they are in agreement with your policy that means you are helping them advance their liberal agenda. THIS MUST BE UNDERSTOOD. They are never, ever content unless they are advancing their radical agenda. When they are yelling and screaming bloody murder you know you are moving in the right direction.
They have made so much progress over the last several decades they mst feel as if they have the wind at their back. Well, effective with the first Tea Party rally back in early 2009 that all changed. They are now feeling resistance and it is making them angry. Good. We have only begun to fight back. The angrier they are the more we can be sure we are moving in the right direction. Ignore their shrillness; do not be intimidated by their threats and angry outbursts. They will throw bottles at you, knock the signs out of your hands, get in your face and yell, break windows and even assault you physically to try to get you to back off.
We cannot back down; we must endure the intolerance and threats. If they successfully execute their strategy we may not have another chance to re-establish the conservative principals that made this country great by peaceful means afforded us under the constitution. Now is the time to act boldly and do not back down. Now is the time to say not here, not now. Now is the time to push them back and retake our rightful place in America as the majority. Now is the time to begin to rebuild our traditional culture, to push it back towards small government, family values and social and fiscal responsibility, not social justice, fiscal irresponsibility, abortion on demand without parental notification, open borders, multi-culturalism, economic redistribution and the multitude of other progressive tenants that have been rammed down our throats over the last 100 years. Now is the time to stand up and get involved and not take no for an answer, we will move forward with our agenda, we have the numbers, we are the majority. Press on!
