MSNBC: Where Will Washington Find $4 Trillion in Cuts? (Not by Cutting Spending)

Below is an article posted by MSNBC yesterday regarding the current budget talks underway. My comments and clarifications are in blue. Notice the word "cuts" refers to the deficit, not to spending. This is key to understanding how the conversation is being framed by the complicit media:

President Obama is reportedly seeking deficit cuts of $4 trillion over the next decade which would be about a one-third cut in the cumulative deficits. (That’s only $400 billion a year, the ANNUAL deficit since Obama took over is over $1.5 trillion, so what they’re saying is that they want to continue to run annual budget deficits of over $1 trillion, that puts our national debt at over $24 trillion at the end of the ten years. Anything short of ELIMINATING the ANNUAL deficits immediately will not get my vote in the next election cycle. Wake up Republicans, Americans are fed up with ALL of this.)

Obama told reporters Thursday that he and congressional leaders had “a very constructive meeting” at the White House on Thursday and they’ll reconvene on Sunday “with the expectation that at that point the parties will at least know where each other’s bottom lines are” and will start “engaging in the hard bargaining that’s necessary to get a deal done.” (And the Republicans will most likely cave and walk away with the same sort of pathetic deal they got during this year’s budget talks. Remember that? What did it end up at, $5 billion or something ludicrous like that? We want meaningful cuts or there is no deal. Force the President to either default – which we all know is not necessary – for political gain, or actually stop spending at the current rate and live only off of what they take in.)

He said, “Everybody acknowledged that there’s going to be pain involved politically on all sides.” (Not for the Democrats, not with the media spinning the facts and twisting the truth. They know millions of Americans have no idea what all these numbers really mean, so when the media comes out and says what historic cuts the President has made, shaving hundreds of billions off of the budget deficit, disengaged Americans will assume it’s a lot because that is how it will be spun and they don’t know billions from trillions. And the evil corporate jet owners will have to pay for taking advantage of “tax loopholes” all these years, stealing from the poor average Joe American that doesn’t pay taxes in the first place.)

Obama is now said to be open to changes in Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare that could result in big savings from those programs — which together by 2021 will account for half of all federal spending. (Only if he can use it to beat up the Republicans in the 2012 election. He will not give a single inch of ground unless it gives him some political advantage. And the media will sell it like he is the poor victim who had to go along with the evil Republicans and their evil plan to push granny off a cliff or the whole country – and possibly the world – would have blown up right before our eyes. So give him more power in the 2012 election cycle so he can fix this tragedy of justice.)

But how might those changes affect people who hope to retire in the next decade? And how will Republican congressional leaders and Obama come up with revenue to reach a $4 trillion target? (“Come up with the revenue?” What the heck does that mean? Does this writer even understand what is going on? You don’t need to raise more revenue to cut spending. Therein lays the trickery of this entire article. Refer back to the first sentence where he says “…seeking deficit cuts of $4 trillion..” They don’t intend to cut spending, they intend to reduce the budget deficit by raising taxes. Get it, bring in more money so they don’t have to reduce spending?

These maniacs are so completely out of touch with reality and out of control they must be stopped. This is why we need an absolute, resolute, unflinching Conservative to come into office and stop these ridiculous political games and CUT SPENDING, eliminate wasteful government programs and restore this country’s fiscal health. No establishment Republican will EVER do that, and no Democrat will either.
